I was asked to count my blessings. And I know indeed the list is long…everything from the air I breathe to the skills and intellect and a future that looks brilliant. But is it enough? Are blessings enough?
No. They can never be enough. Not that I’m not thankful. But even if God gave me the world it would not be enough.
But hang on…
He gave not only blessings, but He gave Himself. And because of that, He is always near. And even when I reflect on all the times when I had stubbornly chose to be out of His will He was still there, protecting me and preventing me from making grave mistakes.
Is that enough? I would have to admit, yes, more than enough. :)
